Pantone Toned!

We have been busy planning many fun events, which is why we haven’t posted in a while, but wanted to share this fun bridal shower with you.

I was lucky enough to plan my soon-to-be sister in law’s (Ali’s) bridal shower in her childhood home a few weeks ago and it was a total blast.  I come from a creative, very DYI family so we wanted to do EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING on our own.  The bride-to-be is a graphic designer so we decided to make it a Pantone theme.  Pantone is a standardized color matching system. By standardizing colors, different manufacturers in different locations and fields can reference the Pantone system of numbered colors to make sure colors match.  As a graphic designer, Ali references Pantone all day long and has pantone chips in every article of clothing she owns.  Therefore, we picked 5 Pantone colors that we thought best represented her personality; Yellow, Orange, Hot Pink, Turquoise Blue, and Lime Green and used them throughout all the details we created for the shower.

We created a Pantone chip focal wall made out of the 5 colors, wrapped a Pantone labeled belly band around the colored napkins, planted seasonal colored tulips in clean white square planters, my mom cooked all the food, the mother of the bride and her aunt baked all the desserts, and sisters of the bride and mom made custom Fatty Sundays pretzels (owned and operated by Ali and her family) as the guest favors.  It was a beautiful, joyful and colorful shower just like the bride-to-be.  Check out the details below, courtesy of the talented Nancy Borowick. PS: There is nothing better than a Pantone step and repeat to pose in front of… perfect photo op.
